Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to support podiatry physicians and assist with patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

You will take vitals, prepare patients, and help with procedures while maintaining accurate EMR documentation and HIPAA compliance. Training is provided to grow clinical skills in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience.
  • CMA or RMA certification preferred.
  • Experience with medical terminology.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused.
  • Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
  • Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
  • Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services.
  • Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
  • Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
  • Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Job description

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you!

You'll work alongside our podiatrists providing hands-on patient care in a professional, fast-paced outpatient setting. Hands-on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their clinical skills.
