Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. You will support physicians, care for patients, and thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting in Centralia, WA.

Role offers hands-on and clinical training, with pay between $20 and $22 per hour based on experience. Travel between local office locations may be required. CMA/RMA preferred, HS diploma required, MS 365 skills helpful.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 1+ year clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and patient documentation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Take vitals, update histories, document medications and allergies in EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures and post-op care.
• Apply dressings and provide patient education and instructions.
• Manage lab specimens, verifications, and prescribed medications as directed.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments.

Job description

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you!

You'll work alongside our podiatrists providing hands-on patient care in a professional, fast-paced outpatient setting. Hands-on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or someone looking to grow their clinical skills.

Pay: $20 - $22 per hour, based on experience

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed
• Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
• CMA or RMA certification preferred
• Experience with medical terminology
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
