Loyal Source Government Services is seeking a Medical Assistant in Spokane, WA to perform both administrative and clinical tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing for exams, drawing blood, coordinating tests, and managing patient flow to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with claimants effectively.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate claimant record's review.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with computer systems for electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to follow established medical protocols and safety guidelines.
• Up-to-date BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs (blood pressure and pulse).
• Prepare claimant for examination (ECG testing/PFT).
• Draw blood for lab tests.
• Perform Pulmonary Function Testing.
• Perform Electrocardiogram and upload for official reading.
• Calibrate equipment (Pulmonary Function machine daily, AED monthly).
• Chaperone claimant during an examination.
• Check-in/Check-out claimants.
• Order entry for diagnostic testing (labs/sleep study/X-rays/PFTs).
• Review of medical records.
• Answer phone calls and greet claimants.
• Manage clinic flow.
• Maintain medical supplies (order as inventory is low and remove expiring items).

Job description

Performs both administrative and clinical tasks in the clinical setting, including taking vital signs, preparing for exams (equipment and exam rooms), cleaning of both exam rooms and equipment after completion of examination, maintaining medical records, confirming appointments, essentially acting as a bridge between the examiner and the claimant to ensure smooth office operations. Pay Rate: $22.18/hr

Key Responsibilities Of a Medical Assistant

• Clinical duties:
• Take vital signs (blood pressure and pulse)
• Prepare claimant for examination (Electrocardiogram testing/Pulmonary Function Testing)
• Draw blood for lab tests
• Perform Pulmonary Function Testing
• Perform Electrocardiogram – uploading for official reading
• Calibrate equipment (Pulmonary Function machine – daily, AED – monthly)
• Chaperone claimant during an examination
• Administrative duties:
