Job summary

EAR NOSE AND THROAT CONSULTANTS PC invites applications for a full-time Medical Assistant in Southfield, MI. You will support physicians, manage patient flow, and prepare exams to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Prior MA experience and CMA/RMA certification are preferred, with a focus on accurate documentation and compassionate care. The position requires on-site presence, ability to work in a fast-paced clinic, and proficiency with common office software.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Preferred CMA or RMA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years’ related medical assistant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate kindness and compassion in all patient interactions.
• Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
• Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
• Assist physicians with in-office procedures.
• Triage and room patients in an efficient manner to maximize clinical-flow.
• Prepare patients, room, and supplies for visit or examination.
• Send prescriptions electronically to pharmacy.
• Make sure all exam rooms are well stocked & organized.
• Assist with ordering supplies.
• Sterilization, sanitization & logs.
• Room prep & tear down.
• Assist physicians as needed during clinic.
• Call patients to go over results or answer questions on behalf of the physician.
• File patient documents & alert physician of new patient results.
• Order imaging and lab tests.

• At least three years’ related medical assistant experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
