Merakey is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Sharon Hill, Delaware County, PA. The role focuses on collecting health measures at admission and supporting psychiatric staff with data entry into Avatar, Merakey's EHR.

You will work closely with physicians, RNs, LPNs, and the medical director to ensure high-quality client care and smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant Certificate (AMT/RMA), at least 1 year of relevant experience (pref.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program, for example, (AMT) or (RMA) with a Medical Assistant Certificate.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
• Computer knowledge including EHR and data entry; proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Excellent organization and written and verbal communication skills.
• Quality documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities within expected timeframes.
• Phlebotomist certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain physical health measures (height, weight, BMI, blood pressure) at admission to Merakey’s CCBHC.
• Enter data into Avatar EHR and support psychiatric staff.
• Assist psychiatrists, physicians and Medical Directors with daily tasks while providing administrative support.
• Work with RN, LPN and clinical team to accomplish daily objectives.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Sharon Hill, Delaware County - PA.

This role is first shift, Monday - Friday 8:00a - 4:00p.

Earn $19.24/hr.

Position Details

The position will be responsible for obtaining physical health measure information (e.g., height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, etc.) from individuals upon admission to Merakey’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), prior to medication checks with psychiatric staff, and at other times depending upon program requirements. The medical assistant will need to be able to complete data entry into Avatar, Merakey's Electronic Health Record (EHR), and support psychiatry staff.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support to Psychiatrists, Physicians, and Medical Directors on a daily basis that allows for the treating physician to provide the highest quality of client care while maintaining the appropriate administrative support. The Medical Assistant works directly with the supported Psychiatrists, Physicians, RN, LPN, and Medical Director as well as business office, administrative, and clinical team to accomplish their daily tasks.
