About Your Position

As a Medical Assistant, you will work as part of a care team to provide support to patients under the supervision of a physician or mid-level provider. Your daily tasks include:

• Greeting and preparing patients for visits, obtaining vital signs, and recording relevant information.
• Assisting with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures.
• Administering medications and vaccinations.
• Managing patient flow and providing patient and family education.
• Preparing and sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean environment.
• Scheduling appointments and performing administrative duties.
• Participating in continuing education and meetings.
• Potentially performing medical scribe duties under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant certification program.
• One year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Washington State Certification as a Medical Assistant-Certified.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
