Job summary

OrthoArizona in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its orthopedic care team. The role involves preparing patients, taking vitals, EMR documentation, assisting clinicians, and handling scheduling and patient records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office.
• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed / EMA experience preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Modernizing medicine EMA EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vitals and recording patient history.
• Input and maintain appropriate EMR documentation.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
• Prepare injections, remove and apply splints and casts, and apply dressings.
• Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and treatments.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and monitoring voicemail and phone calls.
