Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics & Spine in San Jose, CA seeks a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant to join our orthopedic practice. You will maintain exam rooms, assist in procedures, draw blood, and verify patient coverage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exam rooms.
• Stock supplies and prepare rooms for procedures.
• Disinfect equipment and instruments.
• Pre-certify medications and assist in procedures as needed.
• Draw blood as required.
• Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage.
• Schedule surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

What You'll Do

• Maintaining exam rooms
• Stocking supplies
• Disinfecting equipment and instruments
• Pre-certification of medications and assisting in procedure/treatment when appropriate
• Drawing Blood
• Verifying patient eligibility and coverage
• Scheduling surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments
• Additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
