Job Opening: Medical Assistant at Pacific Fertility Center

Pacific Fertility Center (www.pacificfertilitycenter.com) is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team in San Francisco. Established in 1999, PFC is among the top fertility centers nationwide. Our team comprises board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists and Infertility Specialists (REIs). We offer treatments such as In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Egg Freezing, guided by our mission: “As a unified team, guided by the highest ethical standards, we provide our patients with the best quality, individualized, compassionate fertility care.”

The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain patient relationships.

Work Hours and Compensation

Hours: Typically, full-time 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotations required.

Pay: $23-$25/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with patient care, treatments, and procedures
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Help to safely position and transfer patients undergoing procedures requiring anesthesia
  • Provide ultrasound guidance during procedures
  • Set up instruments, equipment, and sterile trays for exams and procedures
  • Clean, wrap, and sterilize instruments
  • Accurately label and prepare specimens for outside laboratories
  • Organize, stock, and clean exam rooms
  • Document patient care accurately and promptly in electronic medical records
Skills & Requirements
  • Completion of Medical Assistant program with diploma, Medical Assistant Certification, or Phlebotomy Certification
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in keyboarding and electronic medical records
  • Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
