Job summary

Rockville Internal Medicine Group is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced, multi-specialty practice in Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate has CMA or RMA certification, a high school diploma, and a professional, patient-centered demeanor.

The role includes taking vital signs, performing EKGs and injections, assisting with in-office exams, and helping maintain an efficient, welcoming clinic workflow while delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification is required.
• All new hires must be COVID-19 vaccinated.
• Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and visitors in a warm, friendly manner.
• Records vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, height/weight).
• Performs EKGs and injections.
• Assists providers with in-office exams and procedures.
• Maintains clinic workflow and supports team members.
• Represents core values of outstanding patient care.
• Responds to patient and pharmacy messages.
• Prepares, restocks, and cleans exam rooms.

What you'll do on a typical day as a Medical Assistant:

• Interacts with patients and visitors in a positive, warm, caring, and friendly manner

• Performs EKG's and injections
• Assists providers with In-office exams and procedures
• Facilitates the provider's workflow in the clinical department

• Coordinates and collaborate with team members
• Responds to patient and pharmacy messages
• Prepares, restocks, and cleans exam rooms

What you'll need to be successful as a Medical Assistant:

• High School diploma or equivalent or technical school certificate required
• Minimum 2 years of MA experience working in a healthcare environment
• CMA/RMA/CNA Certification
• CPR Certification
• Excellent organizational skills and a bility to multi-task
• Adoptable, proactive, and quality-focused
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
