Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our Rockville Pediatrics Practice in Rockville, MD. The CMA will administer medications and immunizations, take vital signs, manage supplies, and help ensure smooth patient flow.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program is preferred. CMA certification within 3 months of hire is required, CPR certification is required and recertified every two years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification required within 3 months of hire; CPR certification required and recertification every two years.
• Two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.

Location: 1201 Seven Locks Rd., Rockville, MD 20854

Shift: Non-exempt - Full-time - 40 hours per week - Mon-Fri - 8:00 - 5:00 p.m. - Some Saturdays maybe required.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• High School Diploma or GED required.Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant required successful completion of the AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA (NAHP), NCMA(NCCT), RCMAS(NCMA), CCMA(NHA) or RMA (American Allied Health). Medical Assistant Certification, required within 3 months of hire. Five or more years of specific applicable MA experience in primary medical care may be substituted for formal training program provided eligibility for RMA(American Medical Technologists) exam. A valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years.
• Two years’ experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
