Job summary

Northwest Extremity Specialists in Portland, ME is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and support clinicians in a fast-paced medical office.

You will perform intake, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures, and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and record keeping.

A Medical Assistant program and strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology are preferred; X-ray certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• X-Ray certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient service.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills to manage administrative tasks effectively.
