Job summary

Fertility Specialists of Texas seeks a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Perot location, full-time, Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with potential weekend hours in Plano about every 6 weeks.

You will coordinate patient care with physicians and staff, manage schedules, assist during procedures, maintain records, and support a fast-paced clinic. Active Medical Assisting certification and BLS/CPR are required; phlebotomy is preferred, and EMR proficiency is important.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assisting certification and BLS/CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with physicians and staff.
• Manage daily clinical schedules and patient intake.
• Assist with appointment scheduling per physician directives.
• Assist during procedures and collect samples as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and chart progress.
• Prepare labels, requisitions and pre-operative paperwork.
• Sterilize instruments and prep treatment areas.
• Ensure clinic protocol compliance.
• Participate in training of new hires.
• Manage inventory and perform other duties.

Job description

Fertility Specialists of Texas (FST) is a leading fertility clinic known for advanced treatments and a compassionate, patient-centered approach. We offer a full range of fertility services — including consultations, IUI, IVF, and egg, sperm, and embryo freezing — and our dedicated team supports patients every step of the way.Medical Assistant to join our team full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential weekend hours as needed (Saturdays). This position will be based out of our Perot location with weekend shifts in the Plano location (about every 6 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care
• Manage daily clinical schedules and assist with patient intake and education
• Follow physician directives and assist with appointment scheduling
• Assist during procedures and collect samples as needed
• Review and maintain accurate medical records, including charting patient progress
• Prepare labels, requisitions, and pre-operative paperwork
• Maintain cleanliness, sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment areas
• Ensure compliance with clinic protocols and regulations
• Participate in training for new hires and team members in the same job class
• Manage inventory and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active Medical Assisting certification and BLS/CPR certification
• Phlebotomy experience (preferred)
• Proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rotating weekend shifts and holidays
• Minimum one year of clinical experience (preferred)
