Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists in Omaha, NE is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, updating histories and medications in the EMR, assisting with minor procedures, processing orders, coordinating pre-authorizations, and providing courteous customer service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.

• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting).
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
• Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Job description

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you!

You'll work alongside our podiatrists providing hands-on patient care in a professional, fast-paced outpatient setting. Hands-on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or someone looking to grow their clinical skills.
