This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), which has exclusive bargaining rights over employment terms related to this role, possibly under a collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

Compensation Range: $17.30/hr - 19.30/hr, commensurate with experience

Overview: Under the Nurse Manager's supervision, the Medical Assistant provides support to medical providers and assists with clinical activities such as maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares patient summary sheets and charts for daily clinic.
• Checks and restocks exam rooms, maintains cleanliness.
• Calls patients from the lobby into exam rooms.
• Obtains chief complaints and vital signs, documents in Eclinical Works.
• Assists with patient care under medical provider or Nurse Manager supervision.
• Maintains universal precautions at all times.
• Graduated from an accredited EKG/Phlebotomy training program.
• Holds a Medical Assistant certification.
• Experience in ambulatory care and knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Clerical and basic computer skills required.
