Job summary

Community Care Physicians' Community Care Obstetrics and Gynecology office is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team. Hours: Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm.

Location: 6 Wellness Way, Latham, NY 12110. Responsibilities include documenting conversations in patient records, maintaining patient flow, preparing patients, obtaining specimens, entering orders into the lab system, performing clinical procedures, and assisting providers with exams.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
  • Experience with Allscripts is a plus.

Job description

Our Community Care Obstetrics and Gynecologyoffice is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
  • Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
  • Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
  • Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
  • Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
  • Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
  • Experience with Allscripts is a plus!
