Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role located in Staten Island, NY. The Medical Assistant will support clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, and assisting with patient examinations and procedures. Daily tasks include updating and maintaining patient records, managing patient intake and scheduling, and coordinating follow-up appointments. The role involves handling basic clinical tasks such as administering injections as directed, performing EKGs, and collecting lab specimens in accordance with practice protocols. The Medical Assistant will also provide patient education, ensure a clean and safe environment, and collaborate with the front office team to support smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Medical Assisting and Patient Care to support clinical workflows and provide safe, compassionate service.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with clinicians and accurately document patient information.
• Experience in a Medical Office setting, including patient intake, scheduling, and coordination of front and back office tasks.
• Ability to manage and maintain Medical Records in compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and relevant certification (e.g., CMA, RMA) preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse patients and staff.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
