Job summary

UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton is seeking an outstanding Medical Assistant to join our team. You will provide high-quality patient care, assist in examinations and treatments, and perform administrative duties to support a smooth clinical workflow.

Completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant Program or Clinical Medical Assistant Program, and current CMA/CCMA/RMA or EMT certification is required or obtained within 90 days; ABR-OE designation may be required for current employees.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant Program, Clinical Medical Assistant Program, or Registered Medical Assistant or EMT Program.
• Current CMA, CCMA, RMA, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic certification required or must be obtained within 90 days.
• ABR-OE designation may be required for current employees.

THE POSITION

We are looking for an outstanding Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients. You will assist in the examination and treatment of patients, perform administrative and clerical duties, and help maintain a safe and clean environment. You will also assist with patient scheduling, patient documentation, and patient interaction. If you are a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented professional with a passion for helping others, we would love to hear from you! Completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant Program, Clinical Medical Assistant Program, Registered Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician Program, current certification as a CMA, CCMA, RMA, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic.Current employees without the above credentials are able and required to hold an ABR-OE designation. All certificates are required within the first 90 days.
