Job summary

NEPA Community Health Care is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to join our care team at Montrose Health Center. The position offers four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, with a supportive environment and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include patient throughput, rooming, specimen collection, and maintaining records while providing compassionate patient care. Travel between health centers may be required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
  • Active Medical Assistant certification.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
  • Ability to travel between health centers as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and collect preliminary visit information.
  • Test samples and maintain patient records.
  • Communicate with patients regarding basic medical procedures.
  • Assist in basic examinations in a fast-paced office.

NEPA Community Health Care is seeking acertified Medical Assistant to join our care team in Montrose! Hours associated with this position are four 10-hr shifts, working Monday - Thursday.

Essential Functions

Our team of clinical support staff optimizes patient satisfaction, provider time and exam room utilization by effectively managing patient flow throughout the office visit. Medical Assistants participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of care, working directly with primary and behavioral health care providers to room patients, collect preliminary visit information and test samples, maintain patient records, communicate with patients regarding basic medical procedures and assist in basic examinations. This professional has a well-developed understanding of medical terminology and can multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment while continuing to provide personalized, compassionate service.

Position Requirements
  • Graduate, accredited Medical Assisting program
  • Active certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience working with electronic medical records
  • Ability to travel between health centers as needed
Preferred:
  • 2 years of experience in outpatient medical setting
  • Experience and comfortability with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity working in primary care and behavioral health is highly recommended
