Job summary

Allergy and Asthma Associates is seeking a dedicated Full-time Medical Assistant to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate will have MA program training and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with strong interpersonal skills and Spanish language ability preferred.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, handling forms, assisting MD/NP, injections, triage, and scheduling. Travel within Bay Area may be required, and full-time benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
• Dedication to patient care.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients in a timely manner (PFTs, VS, med history).
• Process forms (Rx's, school forms).
• Maintain rooms stocked for MD/NP.
• Call prescriptions and patient results.
• Assist with injections (IM, SQ) and treatments.
• Triage and schedule appointments.
• Support MD/NP with care needs as they arise.

Our 8-physician specialist office is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Medical Assistant to join our busy and fast-paced practice.

Qualifications:

• Applicant must have great interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multi-task while being well organized.
• The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants and have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Dedication to providing excellent patient care.
• Preferably bilingual in Spanish.
• The candidate may need to work rotating Saturday mornings.
• The candidate must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel in Bay Area.

Job Duties:

Room patients in a timely manner, including but not limited to:

• PFT's
• VS's
• History with all medications pt. is taking.
• Fill out forms pt. needs (RX's, school forms, etc.)
• Have rooms stocked for MD/NP.
• Call prescriptions refills.
• Call patients back with MD/NP answers to questions and results to tests.
• Able to get medications that MD/NP need.
• Able to do treatments required by MD/NP.
• Able to anticipate needs of MD/NP.
• Triage position, able to schedule an appointment.
• Oral Challenge to food and medications.
• Patch Testing.
• Able to draw up & give IM and SQ injections.
• Able to treat and maintain a systemic/anaphylaxis.
