Behavioral Health Group (BHG) in Mobile, AL seeks a Medical Assistant to support continuity of care by following treatment program policies, conducting assessments, and performing laboratory procedures under the Nurse Supervisor's oversight.

Responsibilities include collecting and shipping specimens, preparing patient test lists, scheduling exams, taking vital signs and TB testing, maintaining lab inventory, and upholding patient confidentiality while contributing to a compassionate care team.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma.
• Phlebotomy experience not required but is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and medical assistant/phlebotomist procedures.

• Conduct patient vital signs, health assessments, TB testing, and blood draws.

• Provide consultation to team members on lab testing and patient issues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and report workplace hazards promptly.

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant ensures continuity of care by following treatment program policies and procedures, conducting assessments, and performing laboratory procedures. Working under the Nurse Supervisor's supervision, they adhere to medical standards and practices.
