Job summary

HCA Florida Osceola Neurosurgical Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. You will prepare patients for exams, assist with minor surgeries, handle labs and injections, and support physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes clinical proficiency, patient communication, and accurate room preparation, with preferred bilingual English/Spanish abilities to serve

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting or current Medical Assistant certification.
  • Candidates with one year of medical work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within one year of hire date.
  • Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and maintain supplies and equipment including sterilization.
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
  • Answer practice phone calls and screen for referrals

  • You will answer telephone calls to the practice and screens for referral
What Qualifications you will need:
