The Fertility Center in Kalamazoo area is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians in the Reproductive Endocrinology Department. This role combines clinical tasks with clerical duties and requires strong computer skills and discretion in handling patient information.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, documenting care, assisting with IVF procedures, scheduling, and maintaining exam rooms and supplies. M.A. certification and 1 year experience (OB/GYN preferred) are required.

Formación

• Registered (RMA/CMA) graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• One year MA experience required; OB/GYN preferred.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deal with sensitive information requiring discretion and independent decision making.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work effectively and efficiently under deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions.

• Answers telephones, welcomes visitors, and provides/relays appropriate information.
• Provides phlebotomy services (blood draws) for patient labs.
• Provides clinical care consistent with physician orders and departmental policies and procedures.
• Telephones prescriptions to pharmacies as directed by physician.
• Documents patient care in patient medical record.
• Scrubs and assists physicians with IVF procedures.
• Schedules patients in an organized and efficient manner, utilizing knowledge of practice patterns and protocols to promote effective use of physicians while minimizing patient delays.
• Maintains inventory of clinical/office supplies.
• Cleans and prepares exam rooms; ensures sterility and compliance with standards.
