Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology teams in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will room patients, document vitals, and assist the dermatologist with procedures while ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include scribing, wound care, drawing blood, suture removal, and managing exam room readiness. Travel to other clinic locations may be required, with opportunities for professional certification and growth.

Qualifications

• Post high-school education in a medical support field (CMA, LPN, or RN).
• Forefront Derm Tech certification program for non-certified Medical Assistants within prescribed time period and maintain certification.
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses or registrations to continue employment.
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Qualifications

Education

Minimum post high-school education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse (Non-Certified Medical Assistants will need to complete the Forefront Derm Tech certification program within the prescribed time period and maintain certification upon expiration).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech a plus
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
• Must possess organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
