Job summary

Premise Health Inc. seeks a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in Gainesville, GA. You will support employee and dependent care, maintain accurate records, and assist with exams, injections, labs, and imaging under state guidelines.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization is required.
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS (AHA/ARC or equivalent) is required.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications, perform injections, labs, EKGs and related tests.
• Assist at front desk, schedule appointments, and handle calls and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Gainesville, GA.
The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

• Bilingual in Spanish required - Put your Spanish speaking skills to use making a meaningful difference in patient care while assisting with rooming, phlebotomy, injections, X-rays, and point-of-care testing

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
