Job summary

Kako'o Services LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will prepare examination rooms, assist with patient check-ins and transfers, and document vital signs and histories to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures, maintaining rooms, processing labs and X-rays, and handling data entry. Requires completion of an accredited MA program and current certification or registration.

Qualifications

• Degree: Certificate.
• Education: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
• Certification: CMA or current registration by the American Medical Technologists or other formal program as specified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms prior to patient’s arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
• Check patient’s vital signs including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter readings.
• Obtain and document patient history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vitals on the correct form.
• Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
• Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
• Enter demographic data into the computer; document diagnoses and departing time when patient is released.
• Additional duties include sterilization, crutch fitting and splint fitting
