PEDIATRIC OPHTHALMOLOGY & STRABISMUS INC. is seeking a Pediatric Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. You will perform initial patient assessments, take medical histories, and assist with in-office procedures while educating families on eye health.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and strong organization to support pediatric and adult patients, including those with special needs. Location is Cranberry Township, PA with occasional travel to nearby offices.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ophthalmology experience a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Pediatric Ophthalmic Technician to join our team! As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will be responsible for conducting the initial assessment of a patient, including listening to their complaints or concerns, obtaining a relevant medical history, and measuring intraocular pressures, refraction, visual acuities, and more. You will also assist as needed with procedures done by the doctor in-office, help educate patients on eye health and best practices, and maintain an organized, clean work environment at all times. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and is extremely organized. We are looking for someone who has a passion for helping children of all ages, as well as adults with special needs.

Work Schedule

• Monday thru Friday
• Shifts rotate between 7:30-3:30, 8-4, and 12-7
• Overtime available as our ending time relies more on the doctor finishing all exams rather than a pre-determined exact time
• Primary office of work is located Cranberry Township, PA 16066 with infrequent travel to Murrysville, PA 15668
