Job summary

Coopersburg Family Practice is seeking a reliable Medical Assistant to support providers and ensure smooth daily clinic operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting; training is available.

You will prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs and histories, assist during exams, administer injections, collect specimens, and maintain EMR records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures
• Administer injections, medications, and perform basic lab tests as directed
• Collect and process specimens (blood, urine, etc.)
• Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure cleanliness standards
• Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
