6AM City, LLC in Alaska is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant or recent college graduate with an interest in medicine to join our team. Responsibilities include clinical and administrative duties, with a focus on patient care in a physician-led practice.

We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for education and supervision. Work location is in person with a Monday–Friday day shift, no weekends.

Qualifications

• EMR experience required or preferred.
• Experience with vital signs in clinical settings.
• Proficient in medical assisting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process DME orders.
• Triaging and rooming patients.
• Administer injections and perform EKGs.
• Assist with ultrasounds.
• Nebulizer treatments with vest percussions.
• Assist with rhino-laryngoscopy.
• Handle new patient referrals and medical records.
• Process medication and sleep study authorizations.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Check-in and check-out of patients.
• Office cleaning and restocking supplies.
• Conduct pulmonary function testing and 6-minute walk tests.
• Scan and shred documents.

Job Description

Pulmonary, Sleep & Internal Medicine practice looking for a fulltime Medical Assistant, or new college graduate with interest in medicine to join our team to preform medical assistant duties. This position requires a responsible and reliable candidate. We offer state of the art treatment techniques, equipment and a positive work environment that is patient focused. Administrative and clinical duties include but are not limited to:

• Processing DME orders
• Triaging patients/ rooming patients
• Injections, EKG's,
• Assisting with ultrasounds,
• Nebulizer treatments with vest percussions

• Medical records folder
• Medication authorizations, sleep study authorizations & specialty RX medication authorizations and processing
• Answering phones
• Scheduling appointments
• Check-in & check-out
• Office cleaning including vacuuming, laundry, restocking refrigerator, dusting, waiting room organization
• Pulmonary function testing
• 6-minute walk testing
• Scanning/ shredding papers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
