Job summary

National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team at the Fairhope office. Hours are 7:30am-4:30pm, with responsibilities including front and back office support and aiding providers and patients.

You will take vitals, prepare exam rooms, document patient charts, and manage daily patient flow while ensuring accurate medication and procedure documentation. We value proactive, patient-centered professionals and offer competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred or a minimum of two years MA experience.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and support the needs and preferences of the Provider(s) and patients by managing daily patient flow and acting as a liaison.
• Monitor clinical messages by communicating information to the Provider(s) and relaying responses to patients.
• Organize, clean, and prepare exam, procedure, and recovery rooms before/after each patient.
• Take and record patients’ vitals and note changes or concerns.
• Complete documentation for patient charts: labs, X-rays, med lists, allergies, and Provider orders.
• Provide patients with discharge/follow-up instructions and educational materials.

Job Responsibilities:

• Anticipate and support the needs and preferences of the Provider(s) and patients by managing daily patient flow and acting as a constant liaison between the Provider(s) and patients.
• Monitor clinical messages by effectively communicating information to the Provider(s) and relaying associated responses back to patients.
• Organize, clean, and prepare exam, procedure, and recovery rooms before and after each patient.
• Take and record patients’ vitals, noting any changes or areas of concern.
• Complete documentation for patient charts by obtaining diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, X-rays, path reports, etc.); reviewing current medications, dosage, and dosage schedule; noting any allergies; and recording Provider(s’) orders and prescriptions.
• Provide patients with any needed discharge/follow-up instructions, educational brochures, and dietary requirements

Job Requirements:

• A high school degree or equivalent education and training
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferredORa minimum of two (2) years of clinical Medical Assisting experience
• CMA/RMA certification preferred

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity
