Job summary

The University of Alaska's Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support UAF students with clinical tasks and telemedicine, under the supervision of the Associate Director of Medical Services. Join the Student Health and Counseling Center as a Medical Assistant and play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of UAF students. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse, multicultural student population while gaining valuable experience across a wide range of clinical responsibilities.

Medical Assistants report to the Associate Director of Medical Services and work alongside compassionate medical and mental health professionals in a welcoming, collaborative, and growing practice. This position is currently available, with full-time and part-time opportunities offered on 9-, 10.5-, or 12-month contracts, providing flexibility to support a healthy work-life balance.

Position Details

This is a full-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on UA Staff Salary Schedule Grade 77 based on education and experience.

This position is term-funded and reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.
