Job summary

Adagio Health is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for our Erie, PA office. The role supports front desk duties, triage calls, appointment scheduling, and patient check-in/out, while also taking vitals, collecting histories, and assisting with venipuncture and injections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent hospital program.
• At least 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients at the front desk and handle phone triage, scheduling, and check-in/out.
• Take vitals, collect patient histories, and assist with venipuncture and injections.
• Assist Nurse Practitioners with procedures and coordinate referrals inside and outside the organization.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and a positive first impression throughout the visit.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Join our team at Adagio Health and experience the dynamic role of a Medical Assistant! Your day will start with a warm welcome to patients at the front desk, where you'll excel in phone triage, scheduling appointments, and making a positive first impression. You'll be at the forefront of patient care, taking vitals, gathering patient histories, and performing venipuncture and injections. Collaborate with our Nurse Practitioners to assist with procedures, ensuring top-notch patient care. Your role extends beyond our clinic walls as you facilitate referrals within and outside the organization. At the end of the day, you'll ensure a seamless patient check-out process. We offer a $500 incentive, paid in two intervals over 90 days, making this an even more rewarding opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant or equivalent hospital program or a minimum of one year of direct patient care experience.
• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
• Local travel required.
