Job summary

The Primary Health Network seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Ellwood City Health Center. You will support both clinical and front desk tasks as part of a coordinated care team in a busy outpatient setting.

Location is PHN Ellwood City Health Center in Ellwood City, PA, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend shifts. Compensation starts at $17 per hour and may reflect experience, education, and site location.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Office Assistant program or LPN, or two years clinical experience.
• Infection control and strong clinical knowledge.
• Administering medications.
• Venipuncture and injections experience preferred; calling prescriptions under provider direction.

Medical Assistant (Full Time)

Location: Lawrence County

Position Overview

Assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting which may include both clinical and front desk duties.

Location and Hours of Position

PHN Ellwood City Health Center 304 Evans Drive Suite 401 Ellwood City PA 16117

The general office hours for this position are:

Monday: 8:00am - 7:00pm

Tuesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Thursday: 8:00am - 7:00pm

Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm

NO WEEKENDS

Compensation

Position starts at $17.00 (MA) per hour,however, PHN recognizes experience, education and site location when determining wage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school Medical Office Assistant or LPN - and/or two years experience in a clinical setting
• Infection Control and strong clinical knowledge
• Administering Medication
• Previous venipuncture and injection experience preferred
• Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a providers direction
• Computer proficient
