Job summary

AFC Urgent Care Frazer is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our West Chester and Malvern teams. You will be the first point of contact, supporting patient flow in a busy urgent care setting and assisting providers with exams, testing, and treatments to ensure high-quality care.

Role requires Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training, with preferred experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients, obtain histories, and record vital signs
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing, and treatments
• Perform CLIA-waived lab testing, collect specimens, and maintain quality control
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under supervision
• Conduct EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other diagnostic support tasks
• Draw blood for lab testing as ordered
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and timely
• Prepare and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms
• Support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment
• Perform drug screenings and provide patient education and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with providers and teammates to deliver seamless care
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance standards
