Office Medical Assistant
A Great Opportunity

Full Time M-F 8:30am-5pm $18-$20 per hour

Accountability Objectives

The Office Medical Assistant plays a dual role in supporting clinic operations. This position combines front-office administrative duties with back-office clinical tasks. Responsibilities include reception, scheduling, insurance verification, basic medical procedures, patient coordination, and supporting psychiatry staff.

People
  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and callers in a friendly, professional manner
  • Answer phones, route calls, and take messages as assigned
  • Communicate openly and clearly with the care team and leadership
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information per HIPAA
  • Provide reassurance and clear communication to clients during appointments
  • Participate in trainings and team meetings as needed
Process
  • Schedule and confirm appointments; communicate changes
  • Perform administrative tasks including faxing, copying, filing, scanning
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation
  • Check and document vital signs (BP, weight, pulse, temperature)
  • Prepare rooms and assist during psychiatric assessments when needed
  • Administer injections as ordered by the provider
  • Clean exam rooms and ensure proper sanitation protocols are followed
  • Maintain adequate inventory of office and medical supplies
  • Coordinate documentation from psychiatric rounds for partner facilities
  • Provide coverage and assistance as needed to ensure clinic runs smoothly
  • Other duties as assigned
Profit
  • Submit accurate and timely billing documentation and records
  • Assist with insurance eligibility checks and client onboarding
  • Track mileage and time per company guidelines
  • Use supplies and equipment responsibly to minimize waste
Quality
  • Ensure clean and professional appearance of all clinic areas
  • Accurately maintain electronic and paper documentation systems
  • Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
  • Proactively suggest improvements to clinic flow or client experience
Minimum Requirements
  • Medical Assistant certification required
  • Minimum age 18
  • Experience in administrative and/or clinical healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, basic clinical procedures, and scheduling software
  • Professional, organized, and adaptable in handling varied responsibilities
