Position Summary

Colorado Pain Care (CPC) is seeking experienced Medical Assistants for our clinics in Castle Rock and Denver.

A Medical Assistant performs both administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of the Practice Manager and Attending Physician or Advanced Practice Provider. The role involves assisting clinical providers in the clinical setting while following all CPC policies and procedures. This position does not have any direct reports.

  • The primary location will be the Denver office, with occasional travel to the Littleton surgery center.

Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms according to clinic and provider specifications.
  • Transport patients to and from procedure rooms, including lifting patients from wheelchairs or beds as needed.
  • Clean and stock assigned areas, including pre-op, PACU, and procedure rooms.
  • Measure and record patient vital signs.
  • Assist with printing prescriptions, work restrictions, and entering services as ordered by providers.
  • Provide compassionate bedside manner, offering comfort and encouragement to patients.
  • Enter all required information into the EMR system, adhering to data entry standards and HIPAA regulations.
  • Follow the company's clinical policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties within the scope of practice as requested.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant program is preferred but not required.
  • Current BLS/First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and listening.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, capable of working under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in Windows PC environment and MS Office applications, including Outlook.
  • Proficient in EMR systems.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional patient care and customer service skills, including handling difficult patients and working under pressure.
  • Ability to take accurate dictation and document notes in real-time.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate company values of leadership, integrity, kindness, excellence, and service.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7 am - 5 pm (4 days, 10 hours each)

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical requirements include frequent walking, standing, and sitting. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
