Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care in Darien, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will assist with examinations, procedures, and patient care, while supporting providers and maintaining accurate records.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, patient safety, and a collaborative culture within a growing urgent care network. CPR may be required, with opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments while creating a positive and compassionate patient experience.
• Perform vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, PCR testing, wound care, and other clinical responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate patient records, manage communications, and assist with daily operational needs.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment while supporting coworkers and promoting a culture of excellence.

Your Role as a Medical Assistant

Patient-Centered Care

Compensation Range

• $20-26+ hourly (based on experience)
