Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care, opening a new center in New Canaan, CT, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care in a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment.

You will take vital signs, collect specimens, perform EKGs and PCR testing, assist with wound care and admin tasks, and help maintain a clean, organized, and compassionate patient experience. Competitive benefits and flexible scheduling are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments while creating a positive patient experience.

Your Role as a Medical Assistant

Patient-Centered Care

Compensation Range

• $22-26+ hourly (based on experience)
