Job summary

Community Care Physicians is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for the Pediatrics Guilderland office in Schenectady, NY. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

The role includes documenting patient conversations, maintaining flow, preparing patients, obtaining specimens, and assisting with exams and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Experience with Allscripts is a plus.

Job description

Our Pediatrics Guilderland officeis looking for a full-timeMedical Assistant to join their team! The hours are:Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
• Experience with Allscripts is a plus!
