We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Ambulatory Department. Reporting to the Director, Outpatient Services, you will p rovide quality care and health related coordination services to patients in a fast paced out-patient medical clinic. This includes supporting physicians in obtaining up to date demographic and health information, answering telephones, scheduling office visits, ordering and stocking supplies for respective physicians, registering patients. Facilitating pharmacy services, facilitating care with other physician offices and ancillary services within the hospital, providing up to date testing information in patients chart for physician review, and entering charges in computer.

Required:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk as well as occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Using proper body mechanics, the employee may be expected to lift, pull, push or move patients and/or equipment. Fine motor skills are required when using hands and fingers to handle, feel or reach. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and ability to speak are necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, sharp eye focus and ability to distinguish colors. There will be periods of stressful intense concentration with more than average pressure used in a variety of problem‑solving situations.
