GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant at Arboretum in Charlotte, NC. You will support clinicians with patient intake, vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and testing in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma and a Medical Assisting program; BLS is required at hire. MA certifications (CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA) are accepted, with a possible path for those without by meeting criteria within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• Certification options accepted if MA uncertified at hire (CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA).
• Candidates with hospital/urgent care experience may qualify without MA certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals.
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide care status updates.
• Record medical history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, ECG).
• Phlebotomy and injections administration.
• Prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms.
• Update EMR and scan documents.
• Answer phones and manage administrative tasks.
• Open/close procedures including cash-out.
• Daily equipment checks and repair tickets.
• Other duties as assigned.
