Paycom - ATS is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a fast-paced dermatology setting. You will assist physicians in exams, procedures, and minor surgery, while ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.

This role emphasizes top-of-training clinical support, coordination of referrals, and strong patient communication. On-site, full-time position with competitive pay and benefits, aligned to experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical or clinical setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in both clinical and procedural environments.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills; EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during exams, procedures, and surgical cases.
• Prepare/administer medications and injections per policy; process refills under provider direction.
• Prepare patients for treatment with histories and consent documentation.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, injections, and suture removals.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms.
• Handle specimen collection and documentation of care.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and testing.
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies; respond to in-clinic emergencies.
• Uphold HIPAA, safety standards, and quality care protocols.
• Support CLIA-waived testing procedures as trained.
