Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in Cape May Court House. You will set up patients in the exam room, perform vital signs and EKGs, reconcile medications, and document visit reasons for the provider.

You will also support minor procedures and prep injections, while handling phone messages, faxes, and reception duties as needed. Required: High school diploma, Certified Medical Assistant with BLS, and excellent patient communication.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant with active BLS certification.
• Experience handling vital signs, EKGs, meds reconciliation and patient health questions.
• Strong communication and organization for a busy clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting up the patient in the exam room.
• Perform and Document: Vital signs, EKGs, reconciliation of medications, reason for visit.
• Discuss changes in health since last visit with patient, assist provider with minor surgical procedures.
• Prepare appropriate medications for injections.
• Handle phone messages, faxes, and medical reception duties as needed.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
