Job summary

Signature Healthcare, MA is seeking Medical Assistants for the Float department who can work across locations and departments as needed. The role includes patient care, technical duties, and clerical tasks to support efficient clinic flow and care delivery.

Ideal candidates have a CMA/RMA/CCMA credential (or be eligible) and CPR/BLS certification, with a high school diploma and completed Medical Assisting training. Prior CMA experience is preferred.

Job description

Medical Assistants in the Float department work at all locations and in all departments as needed. The Medical Assistant is responsible for a variety of patient care, technical, and clerical related functions. The Medical Assistant is responsible for the clinic patient flow by assisting members of the patient care team and providing a broad range of health care services. As a member of the patient care team, the Medical Assistant is also aware of the psychosocial needs of patients and families.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program. Other education as approved by the DON.

Work Experience:

One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Certifications & Licenses:

Certified as a CMA, RMA or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within six(6) months of hire. CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association.
