Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks in our ambulatory care setting. The role includes preparing exam rooms, recording vital signs, and assisting providers with procedures, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

The position requires a Medical Assistant program credential, phlebotomy certification, CPR certification, and a High School diploma. Evening shift: 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, full-time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Phlebotomy certification required.
• CPR certification current.
• Experience in a physician's office or ambulatory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment and examination rooms prior to patient visits.
• Interview patients and obtain relevant medical history information.
• Measure, record, and document vital signs and other clinical data in the patient’s medical record.
• Provide basic patient education as directed by licensed healthcare staff.
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures performed in the medical unit.
• Collect specimens from patients and prepare samples for laboratory analysis, as required and within scope of practice.
• Maintain adequate levels of clinical and clerical supplies for the unit.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed, including documentation support and record maintenance.
• Adhere to organizational policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to members of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role supports daily operations within the medical unit and assists with patient flow, documentation, and clinical procedures in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Clinical Support

• Prepare treatment and examination rooms prior to patient visits.
• Interview patients and obtain relevant medical history information.
• Measure, record, and document vital signs and other clinical data in the patient’s medical record.
• Provide basic patient education as directed by licensed healthcare staff.

• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
• Participate in required training, emergency preparedness, and disaster drills.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• A graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a comparable program is required.
• Certification in phlebotomy required.
• Prior experience working in a physician’s office, clinic, or ambulatory healthcare setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
