Job summary

Balance Health, a premier podiatric care practice serving the Seattle area, seeks a cross-trained Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative duties across Seattle and Mill Creek locations. You will engage in patient care management, scheduling, records kitting, and front-desk support to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires proven MA experience, familiarity with medical office systems, strong communication, and the ability to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Certification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent training.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current American Heart Association CPR certification preferred.
  • Willing to register with Washington state.
  • EMR experience, Athena experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history.
  • Organize and schedule appointments.
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports.
  • Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services.
  • Check with patients and type up patient charts.
  • Assist during medical examinations.
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
  • Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records.
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments.

Balance Health is the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. At our Washington Integrative Foot and Ankle Center brand, we are committed to providing the highest-quality podiatric care to the greater Seattle community.

As a cross trained Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the medical office. You will be cross-trained to assist both in clinical tasks and at the front desk, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical and administrative support, assisting with patient care management, and facilitating effective communication between patients and providers. The goal is to deliver high-quality service, complete all tasks accurately, and maintain timely, organized operations. This role will travel to both Seattle and Mill Creek locations as needed.
