Overview

Looking for second shift work? Want to use your skills and certification to care for patients and clients? Thinking of furthering your education in a nursing role? This full-time position in Bloomington, IL offers all this and more. Monday-Friday, no weekends, no holidays, and eligible for shift differential! Chestnut offers educational assistance for employees earning qualifying degrees in nursing. (Restrictions apply.)

Responsibilities

1. Support medical staff members.
2. Screen potential patients via phone.
3. Help with admissions.
4. Schedule, greet, and room patients.
5. Gather health and hospital histories.
6. Record information in electronic medical record.
7. Assist with medical exams.
8. Take and document vital signs.
9. Gather non-blood specimens.
10. Monitor self-administration of medications.
11. Provide health education and teaching to patients and families.
12. Help patients and families complete paperwork.
13. Pull and file charts, prepare communication materials.
14. Transport patients to outside appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of CNA or MA training program.
• Current CMA or CNA certification.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic medical records.
• Ability to assist in common medical and medical office procedures.
• Valid driver’s license, private auto insurance, and ability to be insured.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $18.00 - $20.50 an hour. Several factors are considered in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
