About the opportunity:

Responsible for independently assisting providers with patient care, maintaining patient records, and completing administrative duties that support patient management.

What you will do:

  1. Obtain, monitor, and record vital signs, patient history, and invasive procedures, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation in the patient’s Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  2. Promptly and professionally field patient phone calls.
  3. Assist providers and clinical staff with examinations, procedures, and other direct patient care activities.
  4. Prepare patients for scheduled procedures, including venipunctures, injections, and intravenous therapy as needed.
  5. Monitor patients' medical conditions and report changes to the appropriate provider.
  6. Maintain patient documentation and communicate the care plan with providers, including diagnostics or therapeutic services ordered.
  7. Ensure cleanliness, adequate stock of supplies, and functioning equipment in examination rooms. Replenish supplies daily, sterilize equipment, and complete shift opening and closing procedures.
  8. Model principles of a Just Culture and uphold organizational values.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

What you will need:

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of relevant patient care and administrative experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform venipunctures, administer injections, and initiate IV therapy preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, equipment, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations.

Licenses:

One of the following is required before starting:

  • Medical Assistant:
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by AMT
    • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by NCT
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by NHA
    • Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) by AMCA
    • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant by NAPH
  • Colorado Licensed Practical Nurse or valid compact license
  • Colorado Emergency Medical Technician license

Pay ranges vary by license and certification, e.g., CNA/EMT: $22.00 - $28.39, Medical Assistant: $23.20 - $31.00, LPN/RN/Paramedic: $25.47 - $35.98.

Certification:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Computer Skills:

Must acquire necessary computer skills within 90 days to complete online learning, access forms, and manage online benefits.

Language: Must have proficient English reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Pay is based on education and experience:

Hourly pay: $22—$26.51 USD
