PromptMed Urgent Care in Antioch is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced, patient-focused team. You will collaborate with providers and front desk staff to support clinical functions, ensure smooth patient flow, and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

The role involves vitals, specimen collection, phlebotomy, assistance during exams, and patient education. Flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or CCMA Certification required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a physician's office or ambulatory setting preferred.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prep patients by taking vitals, reviewing visit reason and medical history, and entering info into the EMR.
• Support providers during exams, procedures, and treatments from setting up the room to assisting during care.
• Perform routine tests/procedures such as flu tests, EKGs, ear flushes, injections, and blood draws (phlebotomy).
• Keep things moving by stocking, cleaning, and prepping exam rooms between visits.
• Educate patients by explaining procedures and answering basic questions.
• Follow up with patients to convey test results and schedule imaging or referrals.
• Pitch in wherever needed—answering phones, triage, or general clinic upkeep.
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as part of a shared schedule.

Hours For This Position: Wednesday 2pm-8pm, Thursday & Friday 8am-8pm, Alternating Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm.

As a Medical Assistant (MA) at PromptMed Urgent Care, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, efficient care to our local communities.
