  • Prior clinic/healthcare MA experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and document medical history.
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens and maintain records.
  • Provide patient education and health information.
  • Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and supplies.
  • Coordinate patient flow to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Handle patient information in HIPAA-compliant manner.
  • Update records in the EMR system as needed.

Provide hands-on care and support that directly impacts the health of the Albuquerque community.

Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical operations and deliver patient-centered care in a community-focused environment. The Medical Assistant will work alongside providers and staff to ensure patients receive timely, respectful, and efficient healthcare services.

Salary: $16 - $18 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and document medical history.
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations under provider supervision.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform basic tests, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support patient education by providing instructions and health information.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Handle patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including updating records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Qualifications & Licences
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential strongly preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
  • Phlebotomy certification (preferred but not required).
  • Prior experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
